I was born and raised in Japan, and Japanese people take cherry blossoms very seriously. We watch the bloom forecast on weather channel, and try to catch a week or two of gorgeous sight every year. I was fortunate enough to catch the bloom this year, while visiting my family after 4 years of absence. I thought it was about time to create a series with this beauty, using long time collected mother of pearl flower beads.
Branches and leaves, along with all the findings are sterling silver, oxidized. Flowers and "buds" are pink and ivory mother of pearl beads.
