A little extra love for the pieces you’ve lived in.
Your jewelry is meant to be worn — through busy mornings, long seasons, big moments, and quiet ones. One of my favorite parts of this work is knowing something I made becomes part of your everyday life. And because you live in your jewelry, it naturally starts to show a little history.
So… I’m officially opening the 314studio Refinishing & Repair Service — something many of you have asked for, and something I’ve quietly done for years.
💫 Refinishing Service
$35 · Free standard shipping · Up to 2 pieces
Each piece you send in comes straight to me — past creations coming home for a visit. With a little polish and care, I bring them back to the glow they had the day they left my studio.
🌙 About Finishes
Handmade jewelry changes as you wear it — that’s part of its charm.
-
Oxidized pieces (especially rings + bracelets) naturally lighten with wear. Necklaces + earrings hold their finish longer. Like Pavé Diamond Rings
-
Shiny sterling silver will tarnish — it’s just what silver does. You can slow it down by wearing it often, storing it in a zip bag with an anti‑tarnish strip, or giving it a gentle polish. Like Hydrangea Collection
-
Plated pieces (rhodium, 24k gold, rose gold + coated) hold their finish longer, but scratches and products like hairspray or perfume can still affect the surface. Like Petal Allure Collection
If you’re unsure whether your piece needs a refresh, email me a photo — I’ll take a look.
🔧 Repairs & Replacements
Sometimes a piece needs more than a polish — a clasp breaks, a ring bends, or an earring goes missing. And after 20+ years in this craft, I’ve seen everything. Truly — nothing surprises me.
If you ran over your bracelet with a bicycle, your chain got vacuumed up by your husband, or your dog chewed on your earrings… I’ve heard it all. Don’t be shy — send me a picture, and I’ll let you know what’s possible. I made it once, and I can bring it back to life for you. Send me an email at info@314studio.com with pictures for a consultation.
Caring for your jewelry is one of my favorite parts of this work. Thank you for trusting me with the pieces that have traveled through your days.
Warmly, Chihiro
